Norwich Castle’s Boudica Gallery displays archaeological finds from Norfolk dating between the start of the Iron Age (c.700-800BC) through the end of the Roman period in 410AD. It focuses especially upon the Iceni, the local Iron Age tribe, and their revolt against Rome under their legendary queen Boudica (or Boudicea). The gallery displays material from important excavations undertaken within Norfolk, including:

- Gold torcs from the world-famous Iron Age site of Snettisham
- Coin hoards
- A range of beautiful enamelled Iron Age horse equipment
- Roman Army cavalry helmets
- Valuable personal possessions like jewellery.

You can explore some of these precious and spectacular items here in our star object trail, as well as some curious items from everyday life.
