We welcome
all kinds of researchers at the Royal Norfolk
Regimental Museum. The Museum is not a
record office and does not hold personal
records or history of each soldier who
served in the Regiment. However, there
is an extensive collection of photographs,
regimental magazines (now card indexed),
regimental histories and First World War
battalion war diaries (card indexed) and
documents, which can sometimes yield information
about individuals. There is also an important
collection of photographs. All items are
accessible by appointment.
If you
cannot come to the museum we will be
happy to check our indexes for you. Please
write enclosing a stamped addressed envelope
or email. Letters are preferred as photocopied
information is often provided. Most of
this work is carried out by volunteers
and we do not charge for this service,
though a small charge is made for photocopying
and donations are always welcome. |
